Here at Hyundai of Athens, it doesn’t matter what kind of Hyundai you drive, an Elantra, Genesis, Tucson, or Sonata, we know you’re on a budget, because we are too! Some of us drive from Toccoa, Eatonton, Duluth, or Lilburn, to get to work – and we feel your pain. We’ve put together a list of things to do here in Athens, Georgia that are completely FREE! Our other budget secret is that we love to drive our Hyundai Accent. This cute subcompact gets 27/38 Mpg, so we know we won’t break the bank!
Check out the Atlanta Beltline
This 22 mile long outdoor space is perfect for biking, running, walking the dog, or just sightseeing! In addition, some of the best restaurants are located along the Beltline, so stop and nosh for a bit and just…enjoy!
Check out Centennial Olympic Park
We had the Olympics in Georgia in 1996, and this park reminds us of that legacy. Take a trip down with your kids to play in the fountains, listen to Jazz, or see the Fountain of Rings show display a dancing water show. This is the kind of break in the day we can totally get behind!
The Old Fourth Ward Skate Park has been graced by skate legends such as Tony Hawk, and since it was designed by skaters, you know its going to have everything done ‘just so’ in order to allow you to have an awesome time!
Check out the boutiques at Little Five Points
Your Hyundai Accent will look right at home in the trendy, artsy little hotspot of boutiques and eateries. You can spend an entire afternoon just people watching, and no one will blame you…it’s way better than any TV show! If you get hungry, never fear! There’s a ton of great eateries and snack shops nearby. You should at least get a snack so you’re energy will be up so you can get some shopping in!
