Usually, if I have to do a ‘vs.’ type of look at a vehicle, it’s one car vs. one other car. The nice folks at Hyundai of Athens took it a step further and told me that basically, the Hyundai Equus wins at everything. Now, I’ve been around a few luxury cars, so this was a pretty bold statement. But that’s okay, I took the challenge, and here’s what I found:
Personal Service Amenities
The Equus starting winning at the get-go when I started looking into this Concierge Service that Equus owners get. For someone who runs all over the place during the day the fact that the service center come to you sealed the deal for me. This is courtesy of the “At Your Service” amenity they offer for regularly scheduled complimentary maintenance and vehicle service. I used to own a Mercedes, and not once did I get a complimentary anything, much less scheduled maintenance.
The Equus looks sleek and streamlined, but it’s roomy and beyond comfortable on the inside. the Equus has more total interior volume than the Lexus LS 460, Mercedes-Benz S550 and BMW 750i. Win all around!
I like being comfortable, but I also really like being safe. Where most luxury cars like the Mercedes Benz S550 fall short is how they have the features, but want to charge you extra for them. This really doesn’t sit well with me, because if I spend more than I make in a year for a vehicle, I want it to be classy and safe, not either/or. The 2015 Hyundai Equus includes these safety (and convenience!) features standard, at no extra charge;
Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Smart Cruise Control with stop/start, 19-inch alloy wheels and a heated steering wheel.
I just sold my Mercedes after it broke down for the second time in a month, so I’ve been looking for a dependable car to get me to work on time. After looking at all these standard features, I may be stopping by Hyundai of Athens soon and checking out the 2015 Hyundai Equus!
